SageWing™ BRINGS SOMETHING DIFFERENT: DEDICATED TIME AND CONSISTENT PRESENCE

About SageWing

by Living Vantage LLC

SageWing provides non-clinical companionship and wellness support through consistent, dedicated Visits.

We spend meaningful time together, help make connection easier, pay attention to the ordinary details of the day, and communicate appropriately with the people authorized to receive updates.

Not every problem is a “you” problem.

Living Vantage began with a problem I could not find the solution to:

How do I watch over and watch out for someone when I can’t always be there? How do I see a more complete picture of her well-being when the only feedback I get is clinical notes and generically placating answers from overworked facility staff?

There are medical teams, caregivers, administrators, social workers and all manner of support staff in her life; but responsibility for weaving those roles together, while simultaneously nurturing the broader need for “quality of life” and wellness, often falls heavily on one person.

The phone calls.

The questions.

The wondering.

The worrying.

The things you meant to check.

The things you wish you had seen for yourself.

The pieces of someone's life that don't fit neatly into anyone else's job description -

That’s what SageWing was designed for.

~ Kelly Layne, Founder

So I built what I could not find.

I needed someone to help keep me connected to a person I am responsible for.

Living hours away and alone in an assisted living facility, she needed more regular support than I could manage from a distance. Work, family and the responsibility for all the details of another adult’s life - an adult living 2 hours away - made for an enormous amount of stress, and no small amount of regret when I could not offer her the amount of time and attention she needed.

There are only so many places one person can be.

Work doesn't stop.

Families don't stop.

Distance doesn't disappear.

Neither do the other people and responsibilities in your life.

Getting help isn't a failure to do enough…it's simply a practical answer to an impossible expectation.‍ ‍

SageWing offers a practical solution to challenges faced every day when managing the care and well-being of another person.

Why is SageWing Different?

“Mom says she’s fine, but she didn’t sound convincing. I can’t get there until the weekend.”

“ ‘Bless her heart!’ That’s what grandma says whenever I ask about her caregiver. I’m pretty sure she means just the opposite!”

“If I hear ‘your dad is just fine’ one more time, I might scream. What does that even mean?”

“Chris just moved - for the fourth time this year. Just when he makes a friend, something happens and we have to move him. I wish I lived closer and could just be there for him.”

How can SageWing make a difference?

A SageWing Visitor has time to spend getting to know Mom beyond “I’m fine”.

Grandma can sip a sweet tea and tell us all about the infinite nuances of “bless her heart”.

Dad’s ordinary Tuesday can have more context than “just fine.”

When Chris moves again, a familiar SageWing relationship can move with him when location, access and service area allow.

And just as importantly:

If things go sideways and you need a documented history of observed events, communications or environmental conditions - SageWing maintains a detailed, longitudinal history of all Visits for release to authorized representatives.

SageWing doesn't replace anyone.

It adds another familiar person to the story.

My hope is simple: make life a little lighter on both sides of the distance.

That is SageWing.
