Visit SW-V001

9:30am – 10:30am

A Little Piece of Tuesday

Katie was in wonderful storytelling form today. We spent most of our time looking through photographs from a family wedding, and she had plenty to say about the flowers, the dresses, and a particularly enthusiastic dancer.

She laughed remembering how the photographer had to gather everyone together three times for the family picture.

It was a relaxed morning, and Katie seemed to enjoy revisiting the occasion.

Looking Ahead

Katie mentioned there are more wedding pictures in an album she would like to find. Remember to ask about them next time.

Visit SW-V002

1:00pm – 2:00pm

A Little Piece of Friday

Katie and I spent the afternoon talking about her garden and looking at photographs. She remembered the roses she used to grow and the neighbor who always admired them. She had a message she wanted to pass along.

Katie Asked Me to Tell You

Katie asked me to tell Amy that she would love photographs from the recent family gathering: “Tell her I want to see everybody, not just the children!”

Communication

Sent to Amy through the authorized portal message channel at 2:40 p.m. Delivery was recorded; a reply was not yet received.

What's Working

Katie says she enjoys photographs on her tablet, especially being able to enlarge them to see everyone's faces.

Looking Ahead

Katie would like to show us more photographs of her own garden during a future Visit.

Visit SW-V003

9:30am – 10:30am

A Little Piece of Tuesday

Katie was planning to watch her favorite afternoon program, but the television had other ideas. We talked about the shows she enjoys and looked at the latest family photographs. She was pleased with the easier-to-open snack containers: she says she can open them without struggling with the lids.

Katie Asked Me to Tell You

Katie asked me to tell Amy that she's nearly out of her favorite tea and would appreciate another box.

A Few Loose Ends

Television: Katie would like help restoring her usual shopping channel.

Walker: A fastener on the right side appeared loose. The Visitor did not adjust or repair it.

Communication

Following the Visit, at 10:35 a.m., the Visitor shared the walker observation in person with community administrator Maria (fictional). Maria acknowledged receiving the information. The Visitor did not verify repair or resolution.

Looking Ahead

Visit SW-V004

9:00am – 10:00am

A Little Piece of Monday

Katie had quite a few things on her mind. We talked about upcoming travel, mail she wanted to look through, and the television's ongoing refusal to cooperate. When I asked how she was, she gave her familiar “I can't complain,” then said she was “feeling puny.” She also said she felt better since starting physical therapy. We laughed along the way, and Katie was delighted that her new snack containers are working well.

Things Katie Mentioned

Katie said several times that the apartment felt hot; the thermostat displayed 62°F, but room temperature was not measured. She wondered whether unfamiliar text messages meant she had been hacked. Discussing food she had intended to prepare, Katie said, “I keep forgetting about the things I put in the refrigerator to cook.”

Things We Noticed

Katie's hair was uncombed, her shirt was wrinkled and stained, and her shorts sat unevenly; this differed from earlier Visits. A medtech handed Katie an insulin pen. Her hand was visibly shaking. The Visitor did not observe the injection being completed and did not assist.

Communication

Immediately following the Visit, at 10:02 a.m., the Visitor reported the observation in person to charge nurse Elena (fictional). Elena stated that she would follow up. The Visitor did not verify medication administration or subsequent outcome.

What's Working

Katie said the easier-to-open snack containers help her enjoy her favorite treats.

A Few Loose Ends

Katie would like help restoring her preferred television channel.

Looking Ahead

Ask about the trip and the cruise photographs Katie wanted to show us.
